The primary focus of Aussie Ecotourism is assisting travellers to book genuine activities that promote environmental and cultural understanding, appreciation, and conservation of the natural area. All experiences that Aussie Ecotourism promotes require excellence in product delivery, commitment to sustainable practices and, provide high quality nature-based tourism experiences.

Aussie Ecotourism offers honest impartial travel advice to the customer, as well as coordinating and assisting the customer in booking their travel. We are leading the nation through ecotourism as we continue to explore and develop meaningful holidays that inspire our customers to slow down, really think about the way they travel, and to embrace new experiences and cultures. We are about preserving ecosystems, educating visitors about conservation, empowering localities, operating sustainable tourist attractions – and, most of all, having fun and unique travel experiences!

We’re a little different to your standard big tour operator. We spend endless hours finding the best accommodation and the best experiences, many of which we create from scratch with our local partners to give you a truly unique experience.

We've spent years working to curate the perfect day, every day. So you can relax and enjoy the absolute best of every destination we visit, and not only tick boxes and fill your insta feed but also experience unique local cultures, adventure, nightlife and much more.

We’re a bit more hands on than your usual tour company, and will help with every step of your journey. From answering all your important questions and connecting you with your tour suppliers before you travel, to spending time to help plan your onward travel after your trip.

Welcome to Aussie Ecotourism My name is Megsi.
I have been at the forefront of organising travellers experiences Australia & New Zealand wide for over a decade specialising in Adventure Travel

After working as a travel agent in the tourism industry for over 10 years, I decided to follow my passion for sustainable travel. It was this interest that led me to study my Bachelors degree in Sustainability at James Cook University. I went on to graduate from her studies in 2022 all whilst working full time and raising my two daughters. My daughters are the inspiration behind creating Aussie Ecotourism, unlocking a need to promote sustainable travel to improve the quality of our travellers experiences, all whilst protecting and preserving our natural resources without compromising the interests of future generations.

As a small business owner, I prefer to establish a close connection to my customers, this means that I can recommend specific products based on what I know about each customers interests. When you contact Aussie Ecotourism you will always deal directly with me. My mission has always beens to create the ultimate travel experience for my guests. I take care of it all, from your activities, accommodation, transport and looking after you like an extended member of the family.

What is ECOTOURISM?
All nature-based forms of tourism in which the main motivation of the tourists is the observation and appreciation of nature as well as the traditional cultures prevailing in natural areas:

An experience/activity that contains educational and interpretation features
An experience/activity that is generally, but not exclusively, organised by specialised tour operators. Service provider partners at the destinations tend to be small, locally owned businesses.
An experience/activity that minimises negative impacts on the natural and socio-cultural environment
An experience/activity that supports the maintenance of natural areas which are used as ecotourism attractions by:
Generating economic benefits for host communities, organisations and authorities managing natural areas with conservation purposes;
Providing alternative employment and income opportunities for local communities; and
Increasing awareness towards the conservation of natural and cultural assets, both among locals and tourists.
